Fire
A fire is warmth, cooking and light. Here is how to read one and keep it going.

How long will it last?
Examine any fire, forge or oven. It now tells you how long it has left to burn, so a fire no longer goes out on you without warning. Look before you leave it, and before you start a long job beside it.
Keeping it going
- Feed a fire before it runs low, not after it has gone out.
- Check the burn time again after you add fuel to see what it gave you.
- Forges and ovens are fires too: they warm you while they are lit.
Fire and warmth
Standing near a lit fire, forge or oven raises your body warmth. /mytemp counts the fires near you in its list of reasons. The Warmth guide explains the numbers.
Albion’s street lamps
The lamps along Albion’s streets light themselves at night and do not burn fuel, so you do not need to tend them. They are there to help you find your way around the city after dark.
